Book adopters: for those of you to whom I am shipping books and not hand-delivering, everything is shipped! I emailed each of you when I got home from the post office to let you know.
The sun is setting all pink and gold
the Delta twilight growing cold
the cat asleep all soft and warm
the clocks all wound and keeping time
Meanwhile,
omnisti is winning the War of the Shelves (we're installing new bookshelves at MJ's today, as my books + instruments have reached critical mass. This involves ladders and levels and screws and hammers and other things which I actually know something about, you may not be aware). And earlier today, with just a phonecall, I was indelibly reminded that I am beloved of two of the world's most wonderful men. Really. Promise to show you the root of this reminder as soon as it's lit and in my hot little hooping hands and undoubtedly posted to Youtube. This makes for a vast improvement from this morning, when I spilled my cereal into my lap first thing. Friday has redeemed itself in spectacular ways.
If I can catch a cat nap, I will go to the Christmas dinner at Varner with MJ tonight. She says they give prizes, though I'm not sure for what. Tomorrow, the Rev. Peacock is participating in Tuba Christmas in Little Rock. I'm so there, with my camera.

Looking to get some of my books out of the house and into the hands of people who will enjoy them. Some of these I've enjoyed for a long time and would rather they go to someone new than stay here and collect dust; some of them I'll never read. Comment and let me know if you want them, and we can figure out the rest from there.
Sending me something to cover shipping via Paypal would be nice, but beyond that, no moneys necessary. Unless you were on the fence about downloading some of my songs or buying a CD; I will consider myself fully compensated if you go and do that instead of sending me money for any of these books. :D
I'm gonna leave this up for a couple of days, but on Friday I'm taking the books away, claimed or unclaimed. Striking through them as they get claimed.
Edit: WHOA, you guys. Thanks for making this so much more satisfying than it was originally going to be!
1. The first four Preacher graphic novels, published by Vertigo: Gone to Texas, Until the End of the World, Proud Americans, and Ancient History. I love these, but it's time they move on. Gifted by![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif)

copperwise a few years ago, damn good condition.
2. Two books by Poppy Z. Brite and one by Davis Bischoff: Exquisite Corpse (hardcover) and The Crow: The Lazarus Heart by Poppy Z, and The Crow: Quoth the Crow by David Bischoff. Really good condition.
3. Two YA novels: The Music of Dolphins by Karen Hesse and Ecstasia by Francesca Lia Block. Both titles I have read and enjoyed. The Hesse book is only slightly worn, the Block book more so--I bought that one used.
4. A photographic supplement to The Diary of Anais Nin, just in case you're missing it. Somewhat worn on the outside.
5. Llewellyn's Magical Almanacand Llewellyn's Herbal Almanac from 2002. Damn good condition.
6. 3 Nora Roberts, the Circle Trilogy 1-3 (Morrigan's Cross, Dance of the Gods, Valley of Silence). Never read.
7. Lasher, Taltos, and Vittorio by Anne Rice. Vittorio is hardcover, the other two are mass market paperbacks and pretty worn.
8. Necroscope and Vamphyri! by Brian Lumley. The former is in fine shape, the latter very soft around the edges.
9. Greg & Tim Hildebrandt: The Tolkien Years. Very well taken care of.
10. Bloom County Babylon. Worn and loved on the outside, but in good shape.
11. The Book of Magical Herbs by Margaret Picton, hardback. Cute little guide, good photos.
12. Just in case anyone collects these, the 2004 DragonCon program book, cover by Olivia. I ended up with a spare somehow.
13. Sheet music for "Until It Sleeps" by Metallica, piano/vocal/guitar.
There's more (On Directing by Harold Clurman, several different editions of various Shakespeare plays,a story anthology called Catholic Girls, a dinosaur book, a star maps book, a Latin workbook), but these are the cool ones. First come, first served.
